Day 9

Bunny's Apartment is in a great location and wore out some shoe leather today with a walk, this morning around the French Quarter.

Stopped at a little courtyard café, to listen to a guy playing banjo and to have a coke and some water.

... told him about her gluten allergy, he immediately started naming menu items that were safe for her. He was clearly well versed in the menu and was very clear on what did nor did not have gluten in it.

... so no complaints here! The flights were interesting. Very bumpy ride to SLC. I've never thrown up on a plane before but came pretty close today. Lucky there was a spare seat next to me just in case! :) Michelle and I were separated by the aisle from SLC to NO. I'm a little worried I'll grab the guys arm next to me if the landing is anything like the one we had a few hours ago! I'll let you know if I do. The coolest and most exciting part ...

... rickety journey. The garden district is the well to do area of New Orleans, so you can see examples of some pretty amazing colonial style homes. We walked through the area looking at some of the houses before passing a book store with a huge queue outside. We found out later that Anne Rice - author of Interview with a Vampire - was inside doing a book signing. It turns out that a lot of her books are set in the Crescent City (I can't say I've read any of them).
