... there was a bike shop about 2 or 3 blocks away. We had to leave the bike and to fill in time, started walking to the French Quarter of town. We had no problem at all filling in a couple hours by visiting the French Market, surrounding historical buildings and generally getting orientated in the tourist district. Though our expectations were sky-high as we approached New Orleans, this wondrous and magical city met and exceeded them. We arrived on a Friday afternoon and immediately went for a long walk through the Marigny neighborhood in search of food. ... floor, metal fronds of seaweed sprouting from octagonal columns and large metal fish sculptures hanging from the high ceiling. They were playing ragtime jazz on the sound system.

My waiter steered me towards the oysters, one of their signature dishes. The oysters are flash fried, drizzled with honey and hot sauce, then finished with a blue cheese sauce and a sprinkle of chopped shallots. Creamy and rich with intense flavours. Really good.
