What a fantastic place to stay. So close to all the action in New Orleans. We stayed in #15 the house and we loved it. The place was clean, comfortable and in a great location. Would highly recommend others to stay here

... The jambalaya even came with three large crawfish on top. It was so delicious! At the end, we had the double chocolate bread pudding with ice cream, and it was so rich, the two of us couldn't finish it. But it was delicious! We're really going to miss the food here!
After dinner, we decided to take the one last stroll down Bourbon Street. It was after 7:00 so the street was closed to traffic, and as the weekend ...

... around and went back the way we came with Mirza and me leading the way. I don't know that there would have been a wrong way out, but we made it just fine. We continued on into open water without so many trees. Instead, there were houses floating on the swamp. That'd be a sweet party spot! ... are loving wandering about. I twisted my ankle on the uneven cobblestones and it has slowed me down a little but have iced and strapped it and think the alcohol numbs the pain! The past two evenings we have been to see live bands down in Frenchmen's street and had great evenings. I think I will find it hard to recover from the sensory overload when we return home and back to reality.

... and nourished with the southern food. New Orleans is lush and full of character, especially after the effects of the disastrous hurricane almost ten years before, there were houses still standing abandoned. Lionel, was telling us about the devastating effects of the community, people just never came back and now the challenge is to rebuild that community. Brass bands played everywhere and bourbon street was just as horrific in the day, pushing a pram, everyone ...

... They seem to appreciate it though, so that's a good thing. They have a bit of a thing for hats here too, both Paul and I have had compliments on our hats- go figure.

We head back out to the NOMA so I can see the sculpture garden. It is lovely and I do enjoy it, but the heat here is so energy sapping, we are both glad to get back on the trolleys and come back to the hotel to shower before we hit the hotspots for the night. We head back down to Frenchman and by now I ...
