What a fantastic place to stay. So close to all the action in New Orleans. We stayed in #15 the house and we loved it. The place was clean, comfortable and in a great location. Would highly recommend others to stay here

OMG New Orleans!!!! What an AMAZING city. I loved every minute of being here (well apart from the ridiculous hangover) On the way to New Orleans we stopped at Dr. Wagners Honey Island Swamp Tour. I've always wanted to cruise the swamps and bayous of Louisiana and I wasn't disappointed. Our guide, Brian (obvs) was amazingly knowledgeable about the …

... a busy tourist spot but we had a refreshing stop and did not feel hurried to open our table. We walked around the shops of French Market some, visited St Louis Cathedral (the oldest cathedral in the U.s.) and the Cabildo museum. This was originally the Spanish Governor's mansion and now a museum o the history of New Orleans and Louisiana.

The Cathedral exterior is not what I would call fantastic but the interior makes up for ...

I don't feel like we have enlightened ourselves here, but I do feel very sad for the people of this area who have grown up in poverty and remain unable to escape that cycle. Hurricane Katrina barely damaged the French Quarter of New Orleans which is the main tourist area but it truly decimated areas like the Treme ...

It was on this stretch of highway that blues singer Bessie Smith died as a result of a car accident on September 26, 1937, but that's another story. And so, on our second day in New Orleans, on North Rampart Street, in the Tremé district, at a tattoo shop called "Art Accent," a ...

We managed to leave the house by 10.15am this morning, and caught the bus into the city again, We got off outside the French Market, crossed the tracks and waited for a trolley or street car down to Canal Street, where the paddle boats leave from.

The boat didn't start boarding till 1.30, so we had ove an hour to fill in. Right beside the ticket office was an up ...
