Our shuttle to the port left at ten this morning. Gabby and I were sad to leave our nice hotel and Santorini as the shuttle dropped us off. We met the rest of our group at a café were we grabbed breakfast before getting on the ferry. The ferry ride was only fourth five minutes, but I managed to sneak a nap in before arriving in Ios. We were a little nervous coming to Ios as every local we talked to said that it was a huge party island and to be ...

Mikonos was full of people but still ok to move around (apparently the crowds can be unbearable in the high season). It's the most popular of the Greek Islands along with Santorini. The sun here is nothing like New Zealand. We can put on sunscreen in the morning and be fine for the whole day.

A range of blues and turquoise. On return to the hotel I finished packing and got the transfer to the port. I then spent time at a cafe, drinking tea and I filled in time blogging and checking emails. Wifi is available free pretty much everywhere. And it ...

... waterfront. We watched the sun set from our table and had a huge and delicious feed of seafoody things - I had prawns and Jason had octopus. Tzatziki was of course involved.

Day four we decided to go for a big trip around the whole island. We chose our days perfectly this time as this day wasn't going to be so much of the hot sun but a little more overcast and windy. We set off with instruction that a whole trip round wouldn't take more than about four hours without ...
