We seem to be getting all manner of weather recently. This morning it was very misty but thankfully, by 09:30 it had burned away and we were able to motor in towards Strömstad in lovely sun and with no wind. There are two harbours here, one which is convenient for the town but busy and rocky and rolly and again, full and another, separated by an inlet that requires a ferry to cross, where we found a berth. We had a very leisurely start to allow the effects of the rain to disappear ie the decks could dry a little and in the sun and some cloud and windless conditions, we motored the 10 miles or so to Nord-Koster, only to find that this popular island was exactly that and thus far too crowded, as the boats were rafted 5 deep. ... rocks, the lichen and the animals in the area until we got to the entrance of the tunnel which had been carved out of the glacier. Inside the glacier it was a warm -2 degrees and a Swedish ice sculpturer had craved out brief symbols of Norwegian folklore in the ice which was interesting to learn about.
