      Deze morgen kwam de shuttle me om 7u oppikken voor mijn vlucht naar Sydney. Ik was moe, ik lag er om 1u30 in en moest er om 6u30 uit. En de drukke weken die ik achter de rug heb dragen natuurlijk ook bij aan de vermoeidheid. Aangekomen in Sydney werd ik bij de shuttle die me naar het hotel zou brengen, vriendelijk ontvangen door de buschauffeur …

      Friday was the kickoff of the annual Sydney Festival -- two weeks of events, free and not, across the city. Never ones to miss out on an activity that ends before 9 PM, we went down to the harbor on Friday evening to check things out.

      The highlight was without a doubt the waterfall swing. In a nutshell, it's an installation with four swings that go through a sheet of water -- which miraculously stops just as the swing passes through. Volunteers push the swings, ...

      ... race at 1pm. Most notably the harbour police racing around the harbour screaming "60 knots - no wash" to all the spectator boats that were speeding. Some even got warnings of "severe fines".
