We've arrived!!After leaving at 10 am on July 29, we arrived in Hong Kong on July 30. A high speed ferry whisked us across the bay. The half hour ride came and went, and was the easiest part of the journey. SIS welcomed us with open arms upon arrival in Shekou. ... cooled down to a chilly 98 degrees with a real feel of 104, and 90% humidity. Practically winter..... But we made it. And many hours of paperwork later, the apartment was ours!! The night ended with our new owner proudly taking pictures with me and teaching me my new address in Chinese. I'm embarrassed to admit how long it took me to learn it.... But luckily. After that we had the barbecue on the roof terrace, where there were a lot of types of pork, and also fish balls. Fish balls look so similar to sweets that I always have to do a double take and remember that instead of being mint flavoured, they are actually minced up seafood and cheese.
Anyway the whole thing was pretty yummy and nice, so that's Chinese BBQ.

We were really excited about getting to Hong Kong. Other than the first night, we were staying with Sherilyn’s sister in law’s sister Shelli and her fiancÚ Justin.
