... t stick around too long, we had enough time to wander around the beautiful lakeside, see Mont Blanc from yet another angle and check out the array of Swiss army knives in the Victorinox store. While in that part of the world, we were lucky enough to enjoy the hospitality of Simone & Sylvain who live not too far from Geneva - but in a small town on the French side. A real bed for a couple of nights and the freedom to shower without the need for jandals/flip flops, bliss!! Following ...

Today we woke up on our own. Not having to be out of the hotel until 10am, we took our time getting ready and packing. We met Chandler in the lobby at 9:30am and headed out the door. We tried a few beers and got some tips on things to see and do in the area.

Now that we've stayed up late I hope we can get on the right schedule tomorrow.

We rushed through the city of Florence, dodging cars and speeding through the highly unfamiliar streets. When the cab driver dropped us off, we were at the wrong building on Via del Giglio, at number 4 (not 6). When we went inside, they told us we ...

... Switzerland and while we were originally a little unsure what we would do for nearly two weeks in this tiny country, we ended up having a great time. The driving alone is right up there with some of the most beautiful scenery we have seen so far on our trip and it is certainly a place we will look forward to returning to (maybe this time we’ll come in season when these towns won’t be quite so sleepy).

So it’s off to Istanbul for us….Until Next Time, David & ...
