Woke up at 8:40 am - yahoo! Life is good. Did some shopping (never too late to shop) and walking around. Lucerne is a pocket size version of Zurich and has a much better feel. Zurich is just a big city whereas Lucerne has more charm and is easier to get around on foot. At mid day we hoofed it (meant to stroll) from our hotel to the train station to catch the train (the right one) to Zurich. As there was time to spare (15 minutes), I went to get coffee and donuts. I gather he was a railway pioneer and also a founder of Credit Suisse. We also passed a statue of Johann Pestalozzi, who was an educator and reformed the Swiss educational system.
