    Today was always going to be a non-event; we had to drive 200+ miles from Henrietta/Rochester to Albany/Troy. The drive on the I90 gave me the chance to fiddle with all the new knobs, dials and levers, but opening the boot, sorry trunk, was beyond me for quite a while.     ... Highway is 3 lanes each way and the drive in was very quick. As usual the signage is good and makes it relatively easy to navigate without Tom if we are just looking.

    The clouds had cleared from breakfast and it was a beautiful day, not cold, very pleasant. Walked around the city for a short time taking in part of a walking tour. There are some lovely old buildings, some not so nice looking ones and some big new buildings.

    ... well. Drizzly rain but nothing to stop us from getting out and walking.

    We continued on along this road which has been described as a scenic route and stopped at Deerfield River just past Charlemont. It was 57 degrees F and still drizzling.
