Made it to the lodge this afternoon. Now we have all been summoned to the main building because of a tornado watch that may quickly develop into a warning, at which time we will all be moved to the basement shelter. Ok, gotta say, I am not liking this situation at all!! Will keep you all posted as long as battery lasts. It is like a light show right ...
Tony, Noel and I was out early morning this Saturday looking for a few yard sales trying to find bargains and treasures....and we got hungry. It was about 8am so we stopped at the Red Rooster Cafe..
... long-time sweetheart, June Carter, in Franklin, Kentucky. She was also a famous country singer. Here is a link to a video of them singing together: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JcnNb7P nmok
Do you know this song? My kids and I love to sing it together.
479 miles is about 770 kilometers. We have 686 miles (1,104 kilometers) left to go on our virtual run. I'm having so much fun running to you!
Here is some information I found out about it on the web:
RIVER WALK AT MITCH MCCONNELL PARK
While in Bowling Green we went on a tour of Mammoth Caves National Park. Almost 400 miles have been surveyed in the Mammoth Cave system. The tour was only 3/4 miles but included about 500 steps so we are pretty sore today. We were kind of disappointed, we have seen prettier caves. To be fair we did only see 3/4 miles of it.
We also went to the National Corvette Museum. The GM plant where they build the Corvette is right next door.
