... long-time affiliation with the Clay Hotel. The Clay was a hotel/hostel that closed its hostel part two years ago and a place I stayed for 20 years when I visited South Beach. Some twenty years ago, it was THE place to stay and so, so much fun!

On my last day, I went down to South Pointe Park. They just finished construction at the lighthouse sculpture less than a year ago, and it's now all torn up again! ARGH! I made it down to the old rock pier on to ...

We dumped our bags and went straight to Whole Foods to stock up for the next few days. Looking forward to cooking and not eating ...

... We could see a couple of the flight attendants get a first-aid kit and tend to one of the passengers. The plane turned around. By 01:15 we were back at the gate waiting for the paramedics.

The paramedics did arrive and they attended to the passenger. We could not tell what was going on, but the activity was not very frenetic. Next we saw two ladies come on board wearing surgical style face masks. After a few minutes ...

... back to where I needed to be. It should have taken me 10 minutes. I'm pretty sure I stumbled past the apartment at least 3 times over that hour. Finally I found it. Phew !!! I decided to Skype Wendy back home in my ****** up state which she found very amusing. Particularly the bit where I fell asleep while talking to her. Sorry babe. It was clearly a sign that I needed to go to bed. Don't think I have ever been boozed on only 2 drinks before - BRILLIANT ! Over and out ...
