Was met by Mr Eddy Otto who was holding a placard bearing my name; a small but gratifying novelty.

Nice bloke he was and took me to the hostel giving me some running commentary of things we passed.

Driving in darkness through the streets of Accra I found myself nervously excited for what would be revealed by the sun tomorrow morning. However I didn’t anticipate that I would still be up and ...

Don't get me wrong, Ghana ...

... an apartment 10 minutes walking from the office, so not too bad! It was then I made the lovely discovery that most of Accra was going through a massive water outage, with no foreseeable end in sight, as Narcisse explained to me, later by my colleagues. In other words, running water? Umm...nope. Looks like I'll be getting an unexpected workout for my arms from pumping water for my daily needs!
