It's was my second time in France and the first time I missed this iconic place, I wanted to visit just for the Mona Lisa picture and I saw it but I also saw much more this was a massive place a lot to see so don't have too much planned for the rest of the day. Great place.

We met the newly weds the first night for an amazing dinner, then continued on to explore the city - top of Le Tour Eiffel, outside of the Louvre (because waiting 45 min just for the ticket booth is crazy), Le Musée d'Orsay, and many fantastic restaurants and boulangeries in between.

Not to mention, we had two amazing dinners our last two …

'Get a night bus,' they said.

'You'll get your transport and your accommodation in one.'

'You sleep on the bus and then you wake up in your next city, refreshed and ready to explore!'

Please take it from me, a night bus is a terrible idea. Unless you're able to get there early enough to secure a good seat, or you're …

This morning we got up early (well early for us this trip) and made our way to the Champs Elysee for the parade. We underestimated the number of people who would be at the parade! When we got to the metro station we couldn't even leave right away because of the enormous crush of people trying to get up to the street level. Once we finally got above …

So today I went to a flea market with Adriana and Carissa, it was actually very cool. I ended up buying this really cool old photo album, these photo negatives from like the 40's or something, a letter "supposedly" from Napoleon, and an old pipe which looks cool. After the flea marked we headed over to the African district which is by Montmartre …

    Le louvre

A travel blog entry by moniqueoouise3 on Apr 14, 2014

Finally I have caught up. Today was a very full on hectic day. I got up and had breakfast and then we traveled on the metro to Le Louvre. At Le Louvre I managed to see the Mona Lisa, and by the way it's nothing like what people say it is. It's this tiny painting probably not much bigger than the size of an A4 size piece of paper. I was expecting …
