It's was my second time in France and the first time I missed this iconic place, I wanted to visit just for the Mona Lisa picture and I saw it but I also saw much more this was a massive place a lot to see so don't have too much planned for the rest of the day. Great place.

Today we visit the museums. Quick breakfast and we take off on foot to Notre Dame, our first stop. The lines are huuuuuuuge. We opt to wander around the cathedral rather than join the throngs of visitors to climb the top. Luckily our hop on hop off bus tickets are valid, and we hop on to Musee d'orsay. This time our museum pass tickets allow us to …

An early start from Marble Arch, a quick brekky, then we were off to St Pancras Station to catch the 9.15am Eurostar to Paris. There was a pianist playing a grand piano on the station concourse, near the international boarding area. French police checked passports before we boarded the train. Our Tour Director, Gary, seems very well organised and …

We met the newly weds the first night for an amazing dinner, then continued on to explore the city - top of Le Tour Eiffel, outside of the Louvre (because waiting 45 min just for the ticket booth is crazy), Le Musée d'Orsay, and many fantastic restaurants and boulangeries in between.

Not to mention, we had two amazing dinners our last two …

Up at 9am to a very enthusiastic mum. She was ready to rock. Down to the cafe for 2 coffees and a croissant and to the train station to get mums euro rail ticket validated. That almost deserves it own entry so I might just move on. We take the subway to the Louvre and stroll around the square. Amazing. Amazing. Then the walk to the Arc de Triomphe …

'Get a night bus,' they said.

'You'll get your transport and your accommodation in one.'

'You sleep on the bus and then you wake up in your next city, refreshed and ready to explore!'

Please take it from me, a night bus is a terrible idea. Unless you're able to get there early enough to secure a good seat, or you're …
