... this week, so fingers crossed we will go skiing. Last Thursday we went to the local pub, nicknamed 'Blue Bar' purely because the outside light is blue- makes sense I guess. I walked up with hopes that quickly dissolved when I saw that there was only 4 people and the barmaid. ... Buffet the night before I left. Me and all of my sisters were there which was good as the next time I see them will be one week before my sisters wedding at a bridesmaid dress fitting!!! ... it allowed us to gather things without having to be concerned about weight or the limiting size of our bags, now the car is gone we have to get back to 23kg per bag and 7kg for each piece of hand luggage. Next week we head off to Geneva en route to Russia, so we'll need to have it all sorted out by then.

... and protected from the wind, the other sides were gale force winds! Quite an amazing experience in itself, but terrible for views, panoramas and photographs. Still, I spent a reasonable amount of time outside soaking it up – Sam was extremely cold, and retreated inside to observe through the glass windows. While outside I did get a chance to photograph a "perfect" snowflake which had fallen on my glove! Exactly the shape you hear about in science class.

... stop for British passport holders and after a brief panic realised we were not crossing into Italy or Switzerland today (as far as we knew), so we just kept going. We passed the tunnel entrance at a large roundabout and then just round the corner entered the Chamonix-Mont Blanc village.
