    ... Wendy should work! John finally dragged Wendy away from the cars and we made plans for tomorrow's full day excursion to Grasse (perfume), Rothschild's mansion and St Paul de Vence. This is the place that Wendy saw on the way back to Nice airport in 2004 and really regretted not having known about and visited.     ... practice which was a lot of fun. The city did a good job of blocking about 90% of the track but from this area there was a clear view of several straights, turns and the pits. And even if you couldn't see a car, you could hear them in other parts of the city, hear the announcers and there was a big screen within view to keep an eye on a few drivers.     ... the past 2 weeks! We don't want to overdo it and take skiing for granted so we're just resting and helping out with the cooking here and there!

    Today I was able to make the cake by myself for the guests! It's nice to play a part in the cooking and something I want to get good at!! I made an Apple and Cinnamon cake from Mary Berry's cooking bible. When I was turning it out, I nearly dropped the cake! My heart stopped for a minute!!!
