Day 5 Again consider stating on awhile, but reflect we are only just over border, and have hankering to press on: Garda it is then!. Decided we wouldn't re-visit old haunt: best to leave happy memories undisturbed. Besides, if we go up East side, we can visit more little towns more easily. Everyone had a great time at the wedding, weather was brilliant. John was so hungry he even ate a flower, plate decoration and Orla tried to steal the show with her drunken antics.
On our last day in Malcesine we went to the top of a really big hill in a cable car, seen some cows and snow, played some crazy golf at a really late hour and had a few drinks with our friends, the last for a while.

... hotel's second hotel. We spent the day in the bar learning how to make cafes, cappucino's, cocktails and italian hot chocolate. They have some pretty interesting things here in Italy. Then for dinner we had a special surprise. It was a dinner at a restaurant on top of a mountain. The only way to get there is by ski lift or snow mobile! I'm excited for our lessons because they're practical lessons. we're going to be learning how to everything from serving to bartending. we're even having all sorts of cooking lessons!! and soon, hopefully this weekend. Today we decided to explore the hills around Verona and Lake Garda. The hills are a mere 20 minute drive from the centre of Verona which reminded me of Canberra, with its close proximity to bushland. ... too- there is a huge castle/fortress high on a prominent point above the town. This is also a town the rock climbers come to for extreme climbing. We walked all over town trying to find a street fair Maria had read about, and finally did find it- very small, about 10 booths and a food booth where we ate a plate of LOTS of thin sliced beef and red beans - and red wine of course!
