... Year, and an hour later we landed in Singapore. We decided to have a quick snack at the airport before catching a taxi to the zoo. The café we selected had interesting food items with names like “Cheese and Cheese” and “I’m Your Sausage Bread.”

The zoo was really incredible, with beautiful, giant outdoor exhibits and plenty of foliage to make it all look natural and jungle-esque. And the pygmy hippos were so cute! We visited them ...

... If you're in Hong Kong and fancy some Chinese food that does not consist of chicken balls and lemon chicken, take a gander down to Double Happiness on Staunton St. Order everything. Vikki was brought to tears by the sweetness of Veron's sister bringing us a welcoming gift - tins of delicious cookies and crackers. It was also ...

We stopped off in Little India and immediately there was the smell of flowers for temple offerings mixed with spices and the sound of Bollywood pounding out of a speaker. The snake charmers of old may no longer be here to entertain, there are no cows in the street and the pavements are free from rubbish, but it feels like India nonetheless.

... Plus mammy finally got to see monkeys in the wild (an awful lot of them!!!! ... And wild boar thrown in, just because!) :) x I've had the most incredible two weeks with them so it's taking some use to getting back to normal after all the excitement. I haven't really stopped since the beginning of October though so I'm embracing the quiet and starting to focus on my MA dissertation :) ... Occasionally researching by the pool :) ...
