As mentioned, we now have two full sea days ( a real good chance to 'rest up')...after the usual breakfast morning routine...pool-time stuff, we got ready for dinner at one of the 4 speciality restaurants on board. Tonight was Toscana, an Italian restaurant that is most excellent.
Wow, that was a fast day! Next day...much more of the same. we are having good weather with moderate seas ( 8-12 ft)...quite smooth with a little motion.
I'm ot sure why our ship docked here, but perhaps it was just an opportunity to walk on land before the long 7 day stretch back to the coast of Africa. Mindelo is a small island, one of several that dot the Atlantic near Africa. It was colonized by Portugal which is apparent in language, food, and signs seen around the small town. Went up to the sail away at the Terrace bar, then down to meet I&R for a pre dinner drink in Champions. After dinner we went to the Curzon ...
Day 7at sea, weather us changing as we head north, it's quite windy today and although the sun is still strong the temperature is much cooler than of late, in the high 70s as opposed to high 80s and far less humid. I'm not going to add any photos today just to see if that's why the blog isn't connecting to Facebook. Today the ships photographers decided to show up on deck to take photos of the shuffle teams. Now how comes they show up today, we have had 6 sea days with fairly calm days ...
