... from the Captain tells us that the crew member taken off yesterday is still in intensive care in Tenerife and he will keep us informed of any change. It looks like we're going to make our 9am docking time in Lisbon. After dinner to see the Unexpected Boys second show in the Curzon, songs from the shows in this act but ended up with another from the Jersey Boys, a great show again. Arranged to meet up tomorrow for our Indian lunch ...
... there to the Orangery for a curry :-) It was the crew talent show again at half 2 in the Curzon. The past couple of sectors have been really good with some great acts, this one however wasn't as good, they had one of the photographers who sand last time, one of the tours desk who did two song and who sang last time. Our port stop in Mindelo, Ilha de Sao
Vicente was originally scheduled for April 18 but was moved to an
overnight stay on April 15, 2014. Since we had more time than was
necessary in Cape Verde, we decided to hire a taxi on the first day,
and acquaint ourselves with the volcanic nature of the island.
The roads were newly paved and in good
condition. One thing noticeable right away was the arid landscape
and absence of trees.
