... and is a complex consisting of an ice cream parlor, pizza parlor, grill serving burgers and dogs, BBQ stand, outdoor stage, drive-in movie, put-put golf course, and loads of grass for the cars to park on. Since we had a huge breakfast mid-morning, we decided to get some Perry Ice Cream which is made locally. Very good!

... 1968, when she was taken out of service. From 1968 – 1971, she was used as a Naval Reserve trainer and was decommissioned in 1971.

We were allowed to tour the decks and insides of the three vessels. The ladies opted out of touring the sub, but Rick and I toured all three. After completing the tour (especially of the sub), our conclusion was that we were glad we both chose to serve in the Army.

... magic mineral broth vegetable soup from wonderful sister Roz's cookbook, as well as brightly colored fresh cut flowers to contrast with the snow. Got to talk to Emily for over an hour. Most of all - got to do a laundry and dry it!:-). Don't ever take fluffy towels for granted!
