... some lovely areas to get different views of the island.

There were beaches to walk on, a lovely rock walkway along one side of the island, caves where you could hear the water crashing and disappearing into, and the water was sooo clear and turquoise!

We had a very restful time in Mallorca. Hope everyone is enjoying their holiday season thus far and look for our next post from Rome!

Well after 2 weeks in Spain we have swapped blue waters and sun for beautiful architecture and bicycles!!
Our last week in Mallorca was spent mainly in Cala D'or where we would wake up, go to the grocery store to buy yogurt and fruit, and then off to the beach. Cala D'or has 3 coved beaches that have rock on either side.

We ate at Zanzibar, drank in LAB and Prohibition, and finished the evening with a dance to some 90s tunes in Bar Cuba. As the flight home tomorrow was pretty early, we said ...

... to contemplate my time here and start saying my goodbyes. For the evening, we had a quiet dinner to ourselves in a pizza place that had been recommended, and ended up trying out a few different bars afterwards (LAB, Idem, Prohibition) to see where would be best for my farewell drinks tomorrow. Suddenly going home feels very real and I'm not at all sure how I feel about it - really can't wait to see everyone... But was it long enough ...

... and had dinner at La Boveda, and stopped for "Spain's second best ice cream" in town. Palma held a "nit de art" (night of art) and was very very busy. A few galleries were open late and there were a few extra exhibitions. We stopped to watch a group of dancers and musicians fuse different types of dance including ballet, tap, flamenco and street. After all of that excitement, we had a final drink in Havana before bed - last day of school tomorrow - ...
