... into town for some shopping and dinner. The town of Mykonos is stunningly picturesque with a maze of tiny streets and whitewashed steps, lanes, houses and churches, gathered around its harbor in the middle of a wide bay. Although the streets are lined with little shops, boutiques, art galleries, cafes, bars and restaurants that cater to the many tourists that visit the island, Mykonos has not lost its charm and identity. We left the ship at 9:00, caught a bus to just outside Mykonos town and began walking through the maze of narrow walk ways. All the houses and shops are painted white with blue, red or black doors. There were buses, motor bikes, cars and people everywhere. It amazed me that there were men blowing whistles trying to get some order. I don't know if they made any difference to the chaos or not. We made it onto our bus and back to our hotel to have dinner with our fellow travellers. Bed really looked good at ...

We were off to Mykonos in Greece today. Many know this island from the Bourne Identity movies. We started the tour out at Kalafatis Beach. Our next stop brought us to a beautiful monastery in the hills called Panagia Tourliani. St. John"s Bay would follow and finally Old Town with the windmills. Although it was very hot, we still got in some shopping. Off to Istanbul now. ...
