There are lots of developments that have come to a standstill and the six or so beaches that we drove into were all deserted, wet and windswept except for a few locals having a drink in the odd bar that was still open. The Greek Islands really do seem to close down after summer, except for the main towns on the bigger islands where there is some tourism up until the end of October.

... to getting checked in and into bed, unfortunately this would have to wait as the room would not be ready until after 8am. That being the case we settled back in the lobby and tried to get another hours sleep, this proved pretty useless with all the lights being on and the area buzzing with staff organising breakfast, instead of sleeping we tried to get some information on the package as all we knew at this stage is that we had 3nights in Mykonos, 2 in Naxos and 2 ...

... mill wheat. Although none are in use now, they have become a real icon of Mykonos! We ate in a taverna and had a cappuccino - so good, and then we headed back to the hotel to regroup - had a Mythos and then I begged off dinner and spent the evening alone - enjoyed 'me' time!'
