Last Day in the Crimea Peninsula
... Our last item on the list was the Khans' Palace. Despite the fact that Catherine the Great destroyed most of Bakhchysaray's mosques she allowed the Palace to remain standing (it has a mmosque) because she thought the building was romantic and sweet.
Eventually we drove an hour to Simerfol to catch our night train to Kiev. 19 hours. We loaded up at 7 pm and set out for almost 20 hours of crazy train driving. But, that, is for another day!

Stepping back into 1945
I love when I get a good night sleep. Thank you Yalta Intourist Hotel. You might be a behemouth of a hotel, but I got in a good 4 hours before my first "awakening" of the night at 2:30. Then it as back to sleep.
