      ... cod and lentil stew on rice with cauliflower and a glass of rosť wine. Then back to waiting, reading, and listening to my ipod in the departure lounge.

      The flight left close to its new announced time. It’s only 150 km (about 100 miles) to Mauritius, so the flight was less than half an hour. Immigration forms were distributed and so were (again) swine flu health forms. These both had to be presented on arrival.

      ... scissortails, a juvenile emperor angelfish that Tim had wanted to see, a sort of black colour with UV blue and white swirls on its side, lots of different triggerfish, surgeon fish including a powder blue, leopard rockskippers, birdfish, butterflyfish, you name it we saw it! We also managed to see some more moray eels, big ones! We saw some more guinea fowl moray, starry moray with their yellow mouths - including one that had a little lobster type ...

      ... the streets are loaded. We ask a police man. It is the worship of Durga. You do NOT want to have the whole story but she conquered evil. 80 percent of the people out, are women. I guess the husbands stayed home with the children, since it is female Goddess. Coconuts, with faces painted on them, were tossed into the sea.       ... We swam in the Indian Ocean, went snorkeling, and laid on the beach-typical vacation. The temperature was in the 90s, the beaches were amazing, and the ocean was beautiful. Our stay was short, but we took advantage of the time we were there. Now we're almost to India...I am very excited about this. I'm sure my write-up on India will be long.
