... ignored him and continued looking at the Japanese selection. On later floors, things got a bit more interesting. There were lots of suggestive dolls created for men who like cartoon women better than real ones. You could undress some of them and one or two were in bondage. This would be one of our more mild experiences with them, as they got worse throughout the trip.

Next we went into a pachinko-arcade hybrid. We were trying to ...

Tokyo, Kanto, Japan jslabbee... so far from the main observatory, it was really amazing! There were a surprising number of cemetaries near the tower, I suppose there would be with so many people living in Tokyo. There were lots of cool buildings, I walked all around it taking pictures. Tokyo Disney was so far away you couldn't see it at all from the tower. There was a gift shop there, Chris got me a cute Hello Kitty/Tokyo Tower coin in a case so that it was a key chain (super cute!). Chris got a blue digital watch ...
Tokyo, Japan strawberilolita... organizing) to get into H&M... amnd they never cross the stree with red light. - Sanitaries... (I will attach a pic) full of buttons for everything! - And the duality between modernity and tradition... But nobody speaks english here which is quite frustrating because that means that contact with locals is going to be quite difficult... except with Fermin and Mari, so great as always! And, after some days exploring the city, Alberto arrived and we started to travel around the country.
Tokyo, Kanto, Japan patoysandrixWell we woke up and headed out to a restaurant to have lunch with Emi's family and hook up with Rocky and his daughter Kara. It was nice to meet her entire family less her brother-in-law who had to work. We enjoyed a nice meal and good conversation as well. It was in a well known Japanese restaurant nearby and of course we had to remove our shoes and place them in a locker before going up and into the room to eat. The food was marvelous. It was a good time had by all. I then ...
Tokyo, Kanto, Japan gumbylives... grandma will blush and giggle and the family laughs as she thanks me and leaves with the biggest grin! I love it! The past week was busy, busy and Lucy had a wonderful time before she left on Monday morning to return to work and she landed and went straight to work! While she was here we had the chance to go to a Karaoke parlor! What fun! If you have not been, or never heard, Japanese Karaoke is much different from home. The place we went is just up the street from my apartment, at the ...
Tokyo, Japan mark820... was a very nice hotel, it looked like any other Westin, and lacked any real Japanese character....especially the toilet! What a letdown. Not wanting to spend a moment longer than necessary in the hotel, we threw on our walking shoes and headed to the Daikanyama district. Arriving by foot some 30 minutes later, we were once again pleasantly surprised by another incredible neighborhood. While the architecture and design felt more like Aoyama, the shopping was on par with Naka Meguro and we ...
Tokyo, Japan jazzkat6... swiped an extra refill of Diet Coke while the entire staff of Subway starred and me, and then to Amy, and I just walked out with a smile and THANK YOU's! It wasn't until we were far from the Subway that Amy told me what I may or may not have done, and that there may or may not have been a sign IN ENGLISH above the soda fountain that says "NO REFILLS!" Ooooops... can't even blame it on Lost in Translation! After my theiving episode, we ...
Tokyo, Japan nyguy79... you find at the bottom of floral arrangements. Another was a creamy coloured pudding-like cube of something which was sitting in a little puddle of brown liquid. Expecting it to be a type of dessert, discovered it was actually savoury and the brown liquid was soya sauce! A memorable meal, delving into the unknown art of Japanese cuisine.
