... a map and hopefully that will do the trick.

Today the weather has changed considerably—sea is rough and no sunshine. We’ll eat in the main dining room—midship and lower deck where you don’t feel the swells. No walking the deck today—we’d blow off. Even the gym is off, too difficult to stay on the treadmills. Since this is a cruise of ...
Bora Bora, Society Islands, French Polynesia marwiltShipboard Life

We're now at 170 degrees longitude and headed toward the International Date Line, where we lose a day. At a question and answer session with the captain, one lady wanted to know if we would be moving from daylight to night. The shocked captain told her nicely that it would still be daylight and we only change the date. Only a few snickers! It is confusing, especially since we’ve ...

It is so easy to screen capture or download almost any image from the WEB, so a slide show allows me to share my work in a way that is interesting yet produces small quality screen captures. Forgive me for this, I hope that you will choose to still enjoy the slide show photo presentation format.
Raiatea, Society Islands, French Polynesia tlbuster... the pool.

It was really nice out. Not TOO hot, nice breeze, beautiful day to stay on the ship and enjoy the outside decks. I lounged in the water for about 2 hours. Just when the prunes on my fingers started to annoy I came in to get ready for dinner.

I love it here in the South Pacific, I can see why movies and musicals have been made about it!

Bora Bora, Society Islands, French Polynesia mrandmrsjocky6:00am wake up call, how sweet it is to be in Bora Bora! Had a great island excursion on "Le Truck". Open air vehicle with the natives showing us the viewpoints and history of the island. Unbelieveable beaches and water in all shades of blue. Got to see how the natives make their wraps and different ways to wear them. Fruits of all kinds around the island from bananas, papayas, lemons, mangos, polynesian apples, etc. The water is truly that of a postcard ...
Bora Bora, Society Islands, French Polynesia escott10... a first for both me and Frits). It took a while before we finally got it together as various factors complicated things, such as the waves from speedboats, avoiding the shallow coral reefs, and uhhhh, two terribly stubborn people who both think they know better. Anyway, we cleared the reefs just off the beach and away we went. We didn't see a lot though. I think we were both too fixated on not capsizing (because of the waves), co-ordinating our strokes and ...
Bora Bora, Society Islands, French Polynesia velvetescape... of the coral growths and the way that the fish population live in, around and under the coral. I watched the way that the fish behave in a defensive and sometimes territorial way. How some types of fish would come up close and others would shy away as you approached. This was way better than 'Coronation Street'! There were just a couple of black tip reef sharks, one of them a youngster, who just like a puppy dog, came closer to see what these intruders were. Second dive was back ...
