... and had higher humidity than NOLA during our stay.

People: super friendly.

Safety: Never felt unsafe except for when the guy was screaming obscenities and slurs at the bouncer. Plenty of police presence on Bourbon Street. Walked to and from conference (about 7 blocks) every day and it was fine.

We are having a winter that won't let go. It was pretty warm last week. This week it is back to being cold. I stopped my walk early yesterday because the wind was so strong I was having problems going forward. I also didn't have a very heavy coat on. Today my face got pretty cold, but I made it around my normal route.

Well the good news is I made it home safe and sound and am on my couch, under a blanket, trying to recall how 24 hours ago I was in 80 degrees, sunshine, green trees and grass and now it's -7 degrees, white and stark out. :-( Not my favorite thing to return to.

... in MSP for at least 20 minutes . . . I got off for a stretch and to pick up a local paper (St. Paul) . . . . Carol always frets that I am going to miss the train every time I get off!!!

Most of the stations have been well maintained . . . and lots of passengers . . . now, if we just had a train system for the country!! Wouldn't that be nice!!
