Set my alarm for 4:30am and slept listlessy whilst expecting it to go off.
Pierce woke up and just raised himself up and was still asleep but seemed to be focusing on the end of the bed. ... Back to Fred's, picking up some Italian take-out, watch a bit of TV and visit before this old lady decided she needed to head back to the hotel. I'm pretty packed and trying not to be nervous about waking up so early!
P.S. We had a very easy trip back to TX, despite no sleep with an early start...AND I weighed in 1.8 down from last month, lost my trip gain! Hurrah! Perfect end to anniversary/holiday week.

Finally on the road, we headed north to take the ferry across the Wisconsin River at Merrimac. It was a gorgeous ride, made even better by the fact that until a few minutes earlier, we hadn't even known there was a Wisconsin River.

One of the ladies we were on the tour of Celestun with told us we "weren't like other Americans". We took this as a complement. She meant that we talked to them as equals.
It is sad that many Americans do think of themselves as superior. Maybe they are financially. But that does make you better than someone else.
