      Tonight, we're watching part 2 of The Hobbit, homework, as Tim put it, for the drive-in in Ft. Worth, where we will see part 3 of The Hobbit. We watched part 1 last night.

      Tomorrow is the big driving day--we're headed to Hope, AR, where we will stay overnight and visit the Clinton national park site on Tuesday morning. More anon!

      20 years later and finally make it back to Kentucky!! Even though the last time I saw my family here I was 8 years old, It seems like everyone is just the way I remember them.       ... did get to take home the glasses we sampled the drinks in, which is pretty cool and a nice souvenir. After that tour it was seriously time for a nap. We got in a good hour nap and then headed out to the Old Owl Tavern. It was recommended to do along with the bourbon trail as a great traditional restaurant with a huge bourbon selection. The tavern was in the basement of the Beaumont Inn. The Inn itself was beautiful and obviously a fancy place to stay ...
