    A little more New Orleans

A travel blog entry by akgraff on Jul 07, 2015

... found a Lululemon and did a little shopping. Tami took me to get an english donut, (beignet) which is a must try. We took a little nap after that. After getting some much needed rest, we headed to Poppy's Crazy Lobster for some more local fare - red beans and rice for Tami and some gumbo for me. New Orleans!

My feet, after a month of tromping around Europe, looked hideous. My nail polish was at least half worn-off on my toes, and I had callouses and blisters. So a pedicure topped my list of priorities.
It was not easy to find the nail salon in the plaza that has IHop and Loews in it in Sugar Land. I had to call and get a few landmarks. Even then, I almost gave ...

    Goodbye to Friends in Houston

I went to Houston to see some close friends and say goodbye before my world trip. It was a trip I will always appreciate. I went to see Tony, a mentor who has inspired me and by knowing him I am a better person, and as always he gave great advice and is one of the most passionate people I have ever met. Tony and his amazing girlfriend ...
