Driving a bit further along the surf coast we reached Bells Beach. Home to the longest running surf contest in the world. Whilst it was a nice day, the sun blazing down and virtually no breeze, this wasn't such great conditions for surfing. The sea, in the main, was as flat as a pancake, the occasional swell coming along to provide the surfers some ...

We headed down to the Geelong waterfront for brekkie. I had eggs benedict...boring, but Heather had something unusual. She had pancakes ...

      ... trip.

At Mildura, Susanne and I will leave the Source to Sea trip as we are heading across to Canberra for a week of fun and frolic with our fellow A Van Solo Travellers for our annual get-together. We'll celebrate the Melbourne Cup, even run our own horses in the morning. Then watch the big race in the afternoon. If we're good girls and boys, Santa will visit some time during the week and there'll be Christmas lunch and plum pudd.
