10-14 Eastern Beach Road Geelong, Victoria, Australia, 3220, 3-5223-1377
**Since I am back in the U.S now, I have very limited attention span to go into extreme detail in these last few blog updates. Therefore, I am just posting some general commentary and a bunch of pictures - which, lets face it is the reason you are here anyway. Enjoy!
Day 43)
Drove the entire Great Ocean Road which occupies the southeastern tip of Australia. It was 300 kilometers and took quite a while since the road winds back and forth with hairpin turns and you are continually ga...

... for good timing on my part?! Though it's not so hot inside... I spent last week on a refresher course for Victorian teachers, shivering in the aircon of Deakin University (happily, my new place has ceiling fans so i won't have to use air-con), but it was very useful and informative - it hasn't made me any more eager to actually find myself a job in that field, but at least now I know the current local jargon and buzzwords so I ...
Geelong, Victoria, Australia fishtails04... have seen the look on the organisers faces as we cruised on through with a caravan behind, quite narly dudes! We stopped for lunch at Apollo bay to check out the local bakery and found a great beach for the kids to run some energy off before heading further down the coast to the Great Otway National Park where we stayed at Aires River Camp ground for a few days of peace and quiet. Koalas abounded! There were koalas everywhere, we have never seen koalas in the wild before ...
Geelong, Victoria, Australia serenitynow... likely me. But I doubt anyone can be continously happy and full of energy for 5 weeks straight. I'll try to add entries as often as I can to keep all my buddies up to date with where I am and what I'm doing...and to rub in the fact that I'm overseas, seeing the world, while they are cooped up in their classrooms. Great friend I am. Thanks for reading. Flavvvvvv. =]
Geelong, Victoria, Australia flav_aus14... a holiday. Most of the Hotels have retained their original exterior features aswell as most of the buildings on the main street. Like stepping back in time. Apart from that we walked on the beach, Ailbhe caught a wave but couldn't stand up on the surfboard, had post work beers and bubbly with Daz and Trace and basically kicked back like we were on holiday. Which...i suppose..we are! Thanks Mr. and Mrs. Findling.
Ocean Grove, Victoria, Australia dacraic... and the road was nice and scenic. The Twelve Appostles and numerous other sand stone formations were right off the Great Ocean Road and provided plenty of sight seeing opportunites along the way. We took our time and really enjoyed ourselves. One camping spot called, Aire River, we ran into a little trouble, we arrived after dark and in the rain, and couldn't really tell where we were. The next morning we got stuck in the mud!! Not normally a problem because most sites are full of ...
Geelong, Victoria, Australia kandkaway... of 28 - 30) and Collingwood winning. My bet of Collingwood to win also came in so there was profit all round. At the end of the game we headed off and said our goodbyes - thanks again guys for a great afternoon ! Sunday morning we decided to head to the coastal area of Melbourne of St Kilda for a wander around the market and a spot of brunch. In the afternoon it was time to move digs for our last night in Melbourne ...

Melbourne, Australia claire_noel... them by the time I'd arrived here this morning, but today they were worse than ever. They don't even respond to fly spray! In a way it was quite good that the fog came because it gave me the motivation I needed to tackle the next leg of the journey to Adelaide - time was getting on and I had a long way still to go. Once you've passed the Twelve Apostles the road starts to head inland fairly quickly and so it wasn ...
Port Campbell, Australia mcaren... food preparation and waitressing. It is owned by a couple, a French woman and an Asutralian man, Francoise and Bruce, who moved back to Melbourne 4 years ago. It should be good because it is kind of exciting to be part of the adventure of openig a new cafe. In the meantime I have been working in a bakery in Yarraville until I start at the creperie. Enjoy some of cool pictures of Melbourne downtown and parks. Hope all is well with everybody. Keep us updated!
