Restaurants menu is a little to be desired. And service levels have dropped since I was last there. But over all a nice hotel. Not too much to do close to the hotel.

By this time we needed to drive back to my hotel, where the Prodigues had asked relatives to pick them up at 3:00 pm. They arrived on time and I greeted the cousin who came ...

... and became extinct quite some time ago, it’s no surprise to hear about the tortoises demise on Mauritius.

... Approaching La Vanille Crocodile Park our driver stopped, there was a baby iguana in the road, about 18inches long, quite pale in coloration. It was, to our driver, obviously quite young and possibly in danger of being run over, so he grabbed a stick and gently eased the little creature into the bushes. A round of applause was given as he got back in the mini bus.
