... We made a quick pitstop to the town of Interlarken which did nothing to change our minds. Lots of shops selling every conceivable brand of Swiss watch. By a stroke of good luck our next destination took us to what we considered to be the real Switzerland, some spectacular scenery in the mountains. We randomly picked a road on the map and found ourselves following the most gorgeous mountain road. It had sweeping bends and some switchbacks and ...

... roads made for driving before we hit..Germany. And the world slowed down. Autobahn? Don't make me laugh. Every time we hit a German motorway we slowed to a virtual halt. I was looking forward to driving at 120mph but never got past 90mph and then only for a couple of minutes. We'd hit no traffic at all until we hit Germany. We arrived in Zurich with expectations and all of them were met with disappointment. Impressions of Zurich. Brown, bland, uninspiring. It was difficult to find a park. In the end we found somewhere and had to ride about 6 km back into town to have a look around. Hence we only spent a couple of hours looking around before ...

... did not take that long to go across. There were lots of sailing boats and other watercraft; it looked like a great day to be on the lake

Arriving in Meersburg, we went to our hotel Zum letzten Heller; and checked in Ann and I got room number 1 and Marion and Melody got room number 2. Our room was a little bigger as it also had a couch that could be used as a bed if needed. Our room was also a corner room and we had three windows that could make a cross breeze ...

... thrilling and fast! Dan was able to get us a second ride for free! Unfortunately on the second ride we had an accident between two cars and I had to take two of my sweet girls to the hospital in Austria. The girls were troopers, so proud of Faith and Grace.good news is that they were released from the hospital and we made it back to the hotel for dinner. Other than the minor hiccup, this way my favorite day on ...
