    Time to go home

A travel blog entry by hicksfamily on Oct 12, 2014

We had our final breakfast in the USA before string about the onerous task of packing everything - including all the souvenirs and other shopping we have done. We managed to fit it all in using only one extra bag, which was a relief. Of course, the weather was perfect yet again, so we checked out around lunchtime and headed to the Westfield Santa Ana Mall, hoping to occupy our time until we had to catch out flight at 11.40 pm! Finally the big day has arrived! We woke up at 3 am, with only 4 hours of sleep behind us. The kids were lively, we were fed, packed and on the road to Melbourne airport by 3.40am. Today is our last day in the USA. We sat by the pool most of the day. Anaheim is a really fun place and the weather has been fantastic. Their winter here is the same as the summer back in Australia. Tonight we drove to LAX airport with our driver ...

    Shopping till we dropped

A travel blog entry by denise64 on Oct 23, 2013

Since we were going off to the Katy Perry concert tonight we chose today as our shopping day. We got to the Outlets at Orange just before opening. So basically it was a whole lot of outdoor stores supposedly outlet or factory shops. Not sure about that, but they sure did have some amazing sales. So there we spent the day having a massive spending spree. There's something that I didn't know about John-Henry before and it's that he's a ...
