    ... Tx for some grilled Talopia fish and veggies and a live band called the O's. Good blues and soul type music. No one dances, but it's good listening music and the 2 guys were quite talented on many instruments. Next weekend is the "Save Second Base Festival" for breast cancer where there will be many bands and events at the fairgrounds.     ... roads are pretty, we took smaller highways and drove through small towns, I really like Texas, the people are also quite lovely - it was a beautiful drive! We eventually made it to Lubbock at 9, only to find out that they didn't have our reservation! The girl told me to ring booking.com, which wouldn't be been fine but none their phones let you ring a payable line and my mobile has no signal, in fact Lubbock so far has been a pit that mobile signal ...

    Motorcycle : 429 miles

    A beautiful trip through Eastern New Mexico was clearly the best day of riding thus far. The red landscape is legendary southwest. We traveled through the resting place of Billy the Kid, in Fort Sumner. Route 84 from Lubbock to Grants, NM ( the land of enchantment) offered temps in the high 70's to mid 80's. The road stretched before us for as far as we could see. Lunch at Penny's, a nostalgic dinner in Vaughn, NM, was terrific. ...
