... nice to get to see where Phil lives and studies. On the first weekend we went to a Mohican Indian Pow Wow. It was an annual event in which indigenous people get together to celebrate their heritage with lots of music and dance performances. It was in a beautiful park along the Mohican River. We ended up going on a three hour canoe trip down the river.

This was the most impressive site we have seen so far. Each point on the serpent aligned with a solstice sunrise/sunset, moonrise/moonset or equinox point. Very impressive - the gift shop was also very good, with local native crafts (our first big shopping "spree".
