          ... settled into my digs, Valeria and I took a cab to the salsa club across from my old hostel. We picked up Jan at the hostel, and then went to dance. The salsa was fun but I still was feeling a bit restricted with my limited amount of lessons so we mostly hair hung out and chatted and watched.           ... in a gringo hostel Donna and I opted to give it a bash. For me the bash was rather too literal, I bashed into the wall, other dancers and somehow into myself. The first three minutes were OK.           ... a game of chicken would play out, with the loser having no choice but to lift their entire cart off the tracks and wait for the other to pass. Despite plenty of banter and horn blowing the rules of the game were simple to follow ... whoever had the most stuff on their cart got to stay on the tracks and today our "driver" trumped all on-comers ... he had gringos on board!
