    Day 119: Cali, Colombia

A travel blog entry by jsedwin on Nov 06, 2014

Yesterday, I woke up surprisingly late considering I sleepy to sleep so early. I got about 11 hours of sleep! The first order of business was to go find this hostel Jan and I had heard about that is less than half the price of the one we were at. Apparently, it's a fake hostel that isn't really registered and therefore doesn't pay taxes so it's much cheaper. When we arrived, we were greeted by a cheerful middle aged man named Jairo who seems like he has done way too ...

We made a lovely friend called Leon at a cafe, who we quizzed about the menu even though he'd only been working there for four days, and went on to visit ...

... bread which we fried on the grill! Morten was in charge of the fire, Graziano was in charge of the cooking and I was in charge of… well… not a lot! But I did play a major role in carrying bags from the supermarket and was a general observer / project manager throughout. After the food we were ready to dance and our guide for the evening out was Mario who works on reception. He also brought along a few friends from school and other places to add to the crowd! We ...

... floor and trying to grope girls bums, yes English boys, you know who i'm referring to! We appeared to be the only non-locals and were lucky enough to be sat next to a two really nice couples who were getting us up on the dance floor and showing us some new moves. Plus one of the girls told me I was the most beautiful girl in Colombia..... so obviously I liked her lol! Following night we went to more of bar than a salsa club ...
