Despite my throbbing foot I headed back into the water with the yellow floaty things and my group...Having fun with the crew, they served us pina coladas in the water to enjoy while we floated AND took a picture of our group for us!

We made it back to the hotel around 4:30 and we were so exhausted that we feel asleep in the shade by the ...
San Juan, Puerto Rico bookitorskipit... was too good to spend the day sleeping. After spying a few people wandering around on the island an official vehicle came down to the dock and since we were only 15metres from the shore Pete and I swam in to meet them. First were the 2 customs officials who were very friendly and kind, welcoming us to the island, after a few more minutes another vehicle arrived (good news travels fast) and again we were greeted by another 2 guys working at the research facility on ...
Mona Island, Puerto Rico bellavita... little fort built in the 1600's. They ventured into one of the Devil's sentries and got some amazing pictures, which they will post once they get real internet. San Juan was their favourite port of the cruise. They loved the cobblestone streets that lined the streets, which lent an authentic Spanish charm. The following day was a day at sea. They again attended the shopping session just for the chance to win free stuff. They played a rousing round of mini ...
San Jaun, Puerto Rico sharshar... One of the girls jumped into the river for a minute and for a moment we thought we were watching a mermaid. It was beautiful. On our way back, George entertained us (there was an older couple and two girls from Minneapolis). It's always refreshing to see how the locals think about the world, how they speak from their heart. . It's amazing that such wonders exist in the world and very few witness it. When you're paddling in your kayak in the lagoon, each drift is coupled ...
Old San Juan, Puerto Rico priyatam... the issue and not the terrorists themselves. It's because of the media that terrorism becomes legendary; another article claimed, probably accurately, that without such devout media attention, Osama Bin Laden would just be a cranky guy in a cave. The class has really humanized the whole issue, putting everybody involved on a more equal plane. It's starting to sink in that terrorists aren't nuts who sit locked away plotting to destroy the world but rational ...
The Atlantic Ocean. Aaarrggh., Puerto Rico randiandersen... time. When we were first in line for take-off, the captain came over the speaker and said there was a light on the dash that shouldn't be on, and it needed to be fixed. Well, 2 ½ hours later, of sitting on the plane, we finally took off, thought we might get to spend another night in PR. We got to Dulles at 10pm, 2 hours late. 91 passengers needed to make connections, most didn't. To summarize, we had a great time, and would most definitely go back. Sorry for the report being ...
Joyuda, Puerto Rico tlk0254... the cab. We had been so nervous about getting to the mainland on time, that we could do nothing but laugh. It was so absurd, and just our luck. After about 40 minutes, with the help of a large local who resembled Notorious B.I.G. and seemed to be an expert in unlocking car doors, the van was opened and we were on our way. Luckily Alex had thought to call the ship to warn them of our mishaps so that they might be easier on us. We got on ...
San Juan, Puerto Rico snhal24... Fontaleza. Even with traffic we moved between the airport and Old San Juan within 15 minutes. After a busy and lazy week we slept well on a 1/2 full flight to JFK with plenty of empty seats to put up the legs and just kick back. - This travelogue is dedicated to my father in gratitude for his RCI time share certificate - thanks Dad! ------
San Juan, Puerto Rico mkouletioNote: My Digital Camera broke the day before I left for my trip. I was not able to fix it, but I was able to buy a new one in Puerto Rico. I am still learning to use it so I will have pictures up shortly, but most of my pictures from Puerto Rico are on Disposable Cameras. The Voyage begins. On January 19, 2006 I woke up at 7:30 in the morning and got dressed and did some final packing to get prepared to board the ship. I got all of my things together and left the room by 9:45. I met nick ...
San Juan, Puerto Rico jacobvolkmarMonday morning, 10:30 am, July 18, 2005 We are about 80 miles off Puerto Rico after sailing Saturday night, all day Sunday and all night; we will arrive in about 3 1/2 hours, at about 2 pm this afternoon. The Navigator of the Seas is huge. It is a beautiful ship, although it is almost TOO decorated and glitzy. The "Royal Promenade" is 4 decks high and runs about 1/3 the length of the ship; it is actually a lot like a mall, with stores and cafes and bars and scads of ...
