... From here, we got the metro to the Capitol building, which is the spectacular domed white building which houses the United States Government. Across the road was the Thomas Jefferson Building (the Library of Congress), and next to this, the Supreme Court, both equally impressive buildings.

... of a turkey dinner with an oyster bake. It was really great to see a typical family Thanksgiving which would be very similar to our Christmas dinner. The similarity ended with desserts though as pies are the done thing here with apple, pecan or pumpkin on offer.
