... happening, a section of Pennsylvania Avenue was taped off, police keeping people out .... we waited for a while (just incase Obama wanted to give us a wave) then headed off towards the Washington Monument, through the President's Park. ( the monument is under repair so couldn't have access to it) Continuing our journey we walked to the Lincoln Memorial, this was an excellent memorial very impressive ....
