When I left Santa Fe I was hearing a noise in my tires but, I just thought it was the result of a 13 year old car. As the noise got louder each day I began to think....hmmmm...this thing may not make it but, I'll just wait until it breaks down and then use my premier AAA card to be towed to where ever I needed. This didn't stop me from ...
Twin Falls, Idaho, United States pilgrimthomas... puttered along at 20MPH out a-way-a-ways (that's the technical term) until I could no longer see the entrance. That was far enough. It would be very easy to get disoriented on the flats. Now that I think about it, I wonder what it would be like to camp there overnight. Hmmmmm.
Nobody was racing or attempting any speed records, but it was still worth getting there.
... a cheap pillow than the fact that it was a Walmart. Although that was good too. I did not think that it was much better than ASDA. Larger certainly but other than that not much different. Other than that excitement it was driving all day. Lots of sleeping occurred and so it was very quiet for much of the journey. We did have a few stop as usual bu we were travelling through an area that was ...

Crossing the border into Nevada we realized with the first billboard that we were entering the land of gambling and sexy women offered 24-7. The billboard told us "Get off now" and featured a girl in a bikini. That was our first clue. Last night we slept with the Big Boys in Jackpot, Nevada. After driving for hours through ...
... went for a drive to check out the Twin Falls themselves, which werent too exciting as there wasnt much water going over them. From there I went out to dinner to a nearby Applebees restaurant. I had a couple of beers after dinner before heading back to the hotel to crash for the night.
Twin Falls, Idaho, United States maccasworldtour... we're traveling Northwest, and the Flight Attendants have been given the green light to strike we may be in for a bit more adventure than we were planning on, but that's all part of traveling, right? Wish us luck and I'm hoping this Blog will work the way I've been told it will. With the difficulties I experienced on my recent trip to the east ...
Brigham City, Utah, United States montgomerylaneWhen you use miles for an award ticket, it is extremely difficult to get four seats together on a flight to/from boise. All Boise flights on Delta go through SLC, so this is where our day had to end, with a 1-hour flight remaining the following ...
Salt Lake City, Utah, United States akawally... tour of the city. Ben loved going to the Mormon info centre and even went back by himself later - I think the pretty Morman girls (tour guides) had him hooked or it could have been the really big statue of Jesus in the room eerily painted like the universe....Anyway, that night we found a sports bar (basketball) and Christie and Clark came from Park City to ...
Salt Lake, Utah, United States hildreth75Just so you all know, my dates are off on this trip as I have no memory of them, neither does my Dad...I was 10 years old...I have this blog for this trip to remember where we went! Although, I do remember going by the Great Salt Lake and Salt literally blowing up onto the car...it was incredible. We were in a draught that year. The winds were strong and the sun hot...interesting indeed.
Salt Lake City, Utah, United States carlitaWhen I got up I saw that there was running water here so I shaved, shampooed and washed up. Then I headed up 26 into my 40th state-Idaho. When I got to Swan Valley I saw a sing for breakfast and stopped at Joe's Place. This is the epitome of the reason I shun fast foods when I travel. The place didn't look too fancy from the outside and inside it had long tables that were shared ...
