We left Kerrville, Tx this morning. Kerrville is a town I could live in. Just the right size, clean, friendly people and easy to navigate. We drove on to Houston to visit Gordy's cousin, Delores and her husband, Gus. It had been years since we had seen them, and they have added a daughter since we last saw them. We just were ...

Jo held on for the entire ride but I think we're all agreed that the operator went easier on the cowgirl, Matt and Sam both had a harder ride and came off eventually and inevitably (we have video!). In fact, Matt liked it so much he tried the real thing - check out the pic of him running away!

before sorting all his gear out - He did try to be as quiet as possible but he did make some noise - Dave slept through it all like a hibernating grizzly bear. LJ eventually switched the light out about midnight after having a read. We had run out of ways of trying to wake Dave up in such a way that he wouldn't have known it was us.

I curled up over LJ's feet and fell asleep too.
