    ... for breakfast, and then Justin and Bill will do guy things and Kara and I will do girl things, and eventually we'll reconvene after a few hours.

    Tonight, we may go check out the strip, or we may just take it easy. I've been to Vegas before, so it's not really a new destination for me, but Justin has never been here before, so it's alien to him.

    ... in bloom, yellow predominantly, but red, pink and orange there too.The wind picked up and the dust was getting swirled about in any bare sandy spots. Whirlygigs were about and we were reminded of the afternoon drive to Monument Valley. Moreover this highway is used by many trucks so between the wind and the trucks the Good Guy needed solid driving as it swayed a bit.Stopped in to see Hoover Dam.     We stopped at the overlook for Lake Mead which is now an aquatic playground.

    This lake was formed in the 1930s when the Colorado river was dammed. This had followed some major flooding in the previous decade.

    ... the casinos on The Strip in daylight. Today was also St Patrick's day so there was a sea of green everywhere we looked and loads of drunk Irish-Americans.     The Grand Canyon - Vegas is a great destination from which to visit the Grand Canyon. 1 of the 7 wonders of the world - it really is a must do if you have the chance. You can go to either the West or South rim - both are fabulous - if you want a recommendation, I would just say that the South is better!
