Friends are awesome! Well, at least my friends are... After a hard night of golfing at Top Golf, we slept in at Tacy's place. Nothing like a comfortable bed, with no check-out time to create laziness in two dudes. About 11:00 am, I decided that we should attempt to make a day of it and head out for an adventure. ... seven national parks: Petrified Forest, Grand Canyon, Yosemite, Yellowstone, Olympic, Crater Lake, and Death Valley, and traveling to a bunch of cities from Vegas to all the way up California to Washington state, so we're HOPEFULLY going to use this blog to post our honeymoon adventures and share photos and stories and inside jokes.
So... the point is... stay tuned, there eventually will be more to come, it just won't be for awhile :)
... WE are amazed, that, for a 8 1/2 year old coach with 74,000 miles, it is completely, spotlessly perfect inside. Nothing seems to have been used or abused in any way. Even the felt in the window sills, which gather and hold dirt and dust horribly, look brand new! Hard to figure out how they put 74,000 miles on it without using anything but the driver's seat!
... arrived into Seattle right on time and Ashley's friend from high school who lives there now, Stew, picked us up and took us to a burger place near the Pier, Red Mill Burgers. After a quick stop at a local grocery for some essentials (wine, shampoo/conditioner, etc), we were off to the dock.
The boarding process went smoothly except they confiscated my fan!!! I don't go ANYWHERE without that as I'm addicted to the noise and can't sleep without ...
Well, here we are in Houston.We headed straight from the airport to the car hire company to pick up the vehicle we're using. For the girls it's a blue 4 wheel drive, a bit bigger than the silver car at home...for the guys it's a Pathfinder, keyless ignition.
