Not much to write about...
My only reason to come to Houston was to visit the NASA space center. Frankly, it was unimpressive at best.
Houston downtown looked very busy, huge and un-inviting and I felt very tired at the same time. So I decided not to do anything else in Houston. I checked into a motel close to NASA and crashed.

Cancelled flight and problem solving
... the 7am from Houston to Austin. Sounded like a great suggestion, especially as there is a Marriott within the Houston airport.
So we did; the flight was fine and on-time. We were even able to sit together in Economy Plus, which isn't bad for a last-minute change. I had booked us a room at the Marriott; we took the train to the hotel and were in bed within 30 minutes of landing. Houston we have a problem
... the space centre the next day. Thunderstorms on Sunday meant we actually ended up with 2 days at the hotel. At the beginning of the trip we were bored and frustrated when we were rain delayed. Now we were over the moon at being able to chill out. We got all our washing done, paid our bills, had our subway lunch round by the pool and caught up with the family on face time.
