Breath of Fresh Air

Day 3 led us up north a bit along the Atlantic Ocean to the Cliffs of Moher and Galway.

If you haven't heard anything about the Cliffs, I would highly recommend researching and visiting as soon as possible. The weather is a bit temperamental but it is honestly one of the world's most beautiful places. The cliffs are 100s of feet above sea level. They overlook the Atlantic and the water can be seen splashing up against the ...

Sorry I havent posted in about a month... I have been very busy, but mostly I've just been lazy and my internet really sucked before so I couldnt upload pictures. However now it is fixed and I am hoping to do alot of bloggong in the next couple of days, so we'll see. Lets step back in time to Sept 20th. Me and the rest of the Villanova kids decided to do a tour of The Burren. This included the Cliffs of Moher, the Aillwee caves, and Dunguaire Castle ...

... a bit like Lord of the Rings…) I also invested in a spunky hat, which you see in my profile picture. It was a day of very happy shopping. We still had a couple hours to kill, so we camped out in a coffee house/pub (you rarely find one without the other), and a friendly Irishman started talking with us and invited Stevie and I to the bar for a pint or two. We all sat and chatted for nearly two hours. It’s these moments where ...

... group so another tower far far away and said that he absolutely wants to go there, because he might not ever get a chance to come back here. So we went. This walk was a bit easier than previous one but it still took us another hour and a half or two and it started to get dark. By the time we reached it it was already around half five and we knew that if we do not hurry we won't make it to the last bus to Doolin from Cliffs of Moher view point. This tower ...

A Party in Galway...Not so Pleasant!

So after a quick bite to eat, we headed back to the room. Adrienne had the key and unlocked the door, only to freeze completely and turn around with a shocked look on her face. Come to find out that one of our roommates had a female visitor who lacked all clothing! So we turned around and ran straight out of that place. Three hours later, after wandering the town aimlessly, we went back to the hostel in hopes that the pair were missing ...

... traveling around. One was from Australia, the other Scotland and both had done the 6 month leave of absence from work, but they said it was an extremely common thing to do where they come from. One of my goals when I return is to persuade you all to help me make it more common for Americans! The three of us went out to a local pub and drank a pint of Guiness and listened to traditional Irish band that was playing live. It was so ...

My Future

... England, Scotland, Wales. London. Oxford. Cambridge. The Lake District (land of Wordsworth and also, I just realized, of Swallows and Amazons. Yorkshire. Stonehenge. Cornwall. Who knows? The U.K. is so much bigger and more varied (I think) than Ireland. It will be a hard choice. I hope to travel a bit there before I move, as well as in Ireland. (The Continent will get squeezed in somewhere, or at least bits of it!) Maybe I'll find a job online and will ...
