I am officially a leaf peeper! That is somebody who travels around just to look at the autumn leaves. And they have been fairly spectacular, although not quite at their peek. They have web sites dedicated to the changing of the leaves and it all depends on the weather. They have had a mild autumn so far, so the leaves are a little late

Drove out to Cape Porpoise for a forgettable breakfast at Wayfarers Inn. Reviewed very positively on Trip Advisor by people on drugs, we cleared up that misconception very quickly. We reluctantly checked out of the Kennebunkport Inn, and hightailed it to Newport by the shortest possible route, Louise waving off any thoughts of going north first to visit the LL Bean store. So, here we are still, one of the only boats that are still in the water at the marina. I'm going to be honest, since Mom left it has not been an easy five weeks... In actual facts, the days have been harder, everyday is a challenge. Yes, challenges make us stronger and I will be able to take a lot with me after these times, and I should be grateful for this experience, and there are much worse things in life, and I must remain positive and happy and ...

A lot has changed in the past few of weeks. Andy and I were on the boat alone for two weeks. We got the boat ready for the next visit from the owner and tried to keep ourselves busy with mundane things. The boredom truly does get to a person, especially when your work day is done at 5... So we drink haha. We had a few interesting tequila nights on the boat and at Melville Grille.

I went to Newport one weekend ...
