We stopped at the port of Corfu. The only way to really get around the island is to take an excursion. At least it was for us. We were going to see a Monastery in the village of Palaiokastritsa and to the village of Gastouri to visit the 19th century Achilleion Palace.
The places were very beautiful and again the excursions didn't disappoint ...

... getting some sun, but not great for swimming due to the sharp rocks sticking out of the water. So we eventually moved along to a beautiful sandy beach with views of the Albanian hillside and refreshingly cool water.
