... So many people here are genuinely lovely.

Thoughts. Trains stations are extremely busy but when you're waiting for you train there is no hassle, no bother and no requests - lovely. The one place you wouldn't expect it. Trains are always late: our train to Jodhpur was delayed 4 hours. Indians are extremely patient people. The scrubba bag we got for Christmas is the business for washing clothes. They've never smelled so good :)

... lamb kebabs of the tikka, masala and tandoor variety. Mouth watering, "nose run" inducing chunks of BBQ on a flimsy paper plate, accompanied by thin slices of raw onions and spicy, yet "cooling" yogurt dressing. It's spicy the way the locals want we want it...and not "toned" down for foreign taste buds. Feeling like we need a cigarette afterwards, we walk back to the hotel, oh so content..and ready for a good nights sleep ;)

Our plans only provide for a flight from Jaipur to Varanasi in two days, but for now, we are freefalling. It's a state we generally enjoy because it opens up posibilies. So let's take this step by step; Pal is still ours for the day, so we will have him move us to ...

My first solo stop without my travel buddy.... A change of mind sets for us both now to become solo travellers, after a while of traveling in each other's pockets on this trip and so many holidays together prior to this trip it is an interesting transition to make but was certainly the right decision for us both.

So Jaipur, I had no idea what to expect, mainly as I had researched all of China and Gem India. I had my hands on the guide book for the first time on ...

We're scheduled to visit the Amber Fort and Palace which lies perched on a hillside just outside the city of Jaipur. The palace was built in the 1590's by Maharaja Man Singh, the Commander of Akbar's army. Interesting note for you lovers of the Kama Sutra, this palace served as the location for the Bollywood film ... Kama Sutra: A Tale of ...
