It was strange because it was only us students involved which makes me think we were the weddings free entertainment. We were driven down to the dining area by the pool for dinner, and we were served meat kebabs, mashed potatoes, veggies, and homemade thick tortillas, with horchata to drink. YUM! We bought wi-fi access for the week, and checked out the handicrafts store, some very cool stuff. Then we were driven back up to our housing so the kids could change into swimsuits ...

... what felt like a million stairs for 30 minutes up the virtually vertical hillside. The heat and humidity had everyone puffing and panting by the time we reached the viewpoint. San Marcos was literally a small pier on which we disembarked, luggage in hand, and immediately we were swammed by small kids offering to take us to our accommodation for a small fee of course.
