long wait for my 8pm flight, decided to venture into town and spend the last of
my reals at the central market and enjoy a couple of the sights.

It was tough to even find left luggage – the one sign
pointed right – it’s reverse side also pointed right (the ...

... at about 10am. Luckily for us the hostel was not at full capacity so Jamily (young Brazilian girl who owns the hostel with her husband, Alex) let us have breakfast and check into our rooms early so we could have a nap. ... for a while. The only down side to the game was Neymar's vertebrae fracture which will rule him out of any further games; a big loss to the Brazilian team. We were most surprised that we were seated next to a lovely couple - an Aussie guy and English girl who has been living in Australia for 10 years. They were only the 2nd Australians we have come across in our travels (aside from those at the Netherlands v Australian match) so was ...

... stellar international careers for the likes of Xavi, Alonso, Villa, Torres and likely Casillas. The Aussies on the other hand had all but a couple of guys under 26 so their future is rosy. All became clear as the evening wore on and despite the mugging that Cameroon wished to lay on Neymar at every occasion, Brazil prevailed at somewhat of a canter, pumping in 4 goals and happy to see the back of the Africans. As always the best entertainment was ...
