From Roswell we drive to Carlsbad Caverns. The caverns are on the Unesco world heritage list, so we decide to pay them a visit. Located 250 meters under ground are loads of stalagmites, stalactites, draperies, soda straws and popcorn. Soda straws being the tiny ones hanging from the ceiling . In Europe we call them Spaghetti. Popcorn are located on the ground. The cavern is beautiful, but we saw an even more beautiful cavern in Slovenia last year, so were a little spoilt. ...
... and so many other toys. It was quite spectacular. She did so well with everyone and had a great time. Once she was in the car, she completely passed out. I am not even sure we made it five minutes from work.

... party on Saturday. It will be a full house! Most of the family Addy has met at least once except she will get to meet my sister and brother's family for the first time. Oh so sweet. I cannot wait - I have missed them so!!! We are doing great and look forward to a fun filled rest of the week. Hope everyone is great too!
The only real reason we had come to Fort Worth was for the Jimmy Buffet/John Fogarty concert which was at the Toyota stadium (Dallas FC stadium).
We stayed at the Hidden Cover State park which is on a huge lake that is now almost surrounded by suburbia - part of Frisco, which is in the greater Dallas-Fort Worth area.
The concert was great and next day we got out of town, heading west! ...
... the matter of our wedding at the conclusion of this hike so it just adds another dimension to the degree of planning. Gear is going well. We have ended up with packed base weights of 18 lbs and are satisfied plenty with that accomplishment considering the style of backpacking we both have experienced.
