The island is twined with Saint Mont Michel in Normandy in France. It is a similar island set up just off the coast which can be reached via a causeway at low tide. We are headed there very soon...
The castle gardens were nice but not breath taking by any means. However, they did offer fantastic views of the castle from ...
We spent the morning wandering around St Ives.
It is a beautiful village full of art gallaries and narrow streets.
All the walking around made us hungry.
How could I pass up the opportunity for a hearty Beef and Stilton Pasty.

Time to continue our tour south, so we drive down to St Ives - a lovley harbour village. We splurge out on our first real Caravan Park.
After hooking up to the electricity we stuck a bottle of bubbles in the fridge. Then head out for a run around the town. Our caravan park is situated on a headland ontop of a hill overlooking the village. Great for the view but quite steep getting back from town. Down is ofcuorse always ...
We made out of the paddock without getting bogged, Phew!! Checked the internet last night and the surf looks like it will be good for the next 2 days. So our mission today is to get me some waves.

Being the only van in the padock had it's advantages... we could pick the best (flatest) spot and enjoy the peace and quite and a beautiful sunset as well as the light show which is the country night sky.
... our bags on the Eurostar forced a re-pack in Brussels under the mantra - this is nice to have, but would I carry it around the World? I have no idea where it came from but it was a mans voice. He was speaking to his friend "Steve" Now he was telling Steve he was delayed a week for the start of his holiday because he lost his brother (I wonder if he found him) he had spent a few days in Somerset ...

Hyundai i10 was the way we went with the car. Decision being made based upon price and mileage to the gallon and comparing it to the Kia (slightly cheaper) it was far more professionally finished and the Panda was the only other real contender but we already have one on the driveway and although I cant put my finger on it I just dont like it. It seems to be a bit of a charachterless box on ballbearings ...
... some Devon Tea. It consisted of Tea, cloted cream, two biscuits, Jelly and Butter. It was extremly good and quite famous. I have always wanted to try some and im so glad I fiinally was able to do that. Then it was off to Cornwall which is where I am right now in a place called NewQuay. Its bloody fantastic.
