      ... wants Gray to be the next Guy Fieri!

      Next is Pacific Grove and "home" for us out here. Although unfortunately for my cousins, Sayo and Mel, although fortunately for us, we'll be staying with them for six days! It will be great seeing family and friends. Huh, Gerry? Dick will love seeing everyone and also NOT driving around, although we have a little bit of business and going to see Grant who lives in the SF Bay Area.

      ... hardly looked like a river. A sign at the visitor’s center mentioned a sharp decrease in the annual amount of rain from 2005-2006 to 2013-2014. There was 101.38” of rain in 2005-6 compared to 27.96” in 2013-14.

      At lunchtime, we stopped at FK Lane Grove (#1) to walk the trail and grab lunch. As we got out, someone else asked Brad where we were from. They were originally from Detroit. Now, they live in Arizona ...

      ... can’t do that until I know those neighbors. Those of us who do know each other take freely from each other’s trees. In fact I was given a bucket of fresh heirlooms just today. YUM!!!!

      ... chairs and other beach equipment down steep stairs, no doubt muttering some expletives as he went. Looks like the steep concrete steps have now been replaced with a gentle concrete ramp (too bad Pops...you were born too soon).       ... expensive upgrade they tried to sell us for 2 hours, (these are always free anywhere else), the one way fee that tripled from $100 to $300, the first car that wouldn't move because of a stuck handbrake and finally the replacement car with nearly bald tyres. Oh yes, and they have billed our credit card twice! Maybe we need to sell the car on the black market to recoup costs.
