... French people can be decorative with their graves if they want to be (pic 12).

One major disappointment though was that the top floor was closed due to renovation and restoration. What was kinda neat though was they allowed you to look in on one of the folks doing the restoration work (pic 13). That job must be a little bit stressful I’d imagine.

Finally we visited a mine crater at La Boisselle. It is 91 meters in diameter and 21 meters in depth. ... we had in town as it was the crews day off, back on the boat now, it is 9.30pm and so tranquil here the birds are singing in the trees beside the canal and the town is far enough away not to bother us.... Every year there is a service here for ANZAC Day. In Peronne, we also found Avenue Des Australien, which is the one the Australian Memorial is on, as well as Rue de Kanga.
