Then bus to Brussels. We have a bus driver, Johan, who is of great amusement. Born in Netherlands, Johan has a great accent. His pronunciation of 'boos' (bus) is highly amusing. ... of the conflict ; the tour itself was well paced with enough time time to look around the various monuments , take photos etc. our first stop was Villers- Bretonneux. ... aircraft ! The flight was good as could be expected we both had about 6hrs sleep due to a mix of temazepam and alcohol had our first breakfast for the day accompanied by the usual excreble airline tea . Dubai airport is one enormous Chadstone shopping centre not much to do but walk around . Emirates economy we thought was rather good with a fantastic choice of movies videos etc with a wide hi-res touch screen , good food, nice flight attendants , sadly no boxed ...

... 17 lots of explosives in underground tunnels to try to create confusion amongst the Germans as they advanced. This crater is ENORMOUS. The photos do not do it justice. While we were there, there were 2 volunteers, a lady and a man, screwing small brass plaques into the wooden walkway circling the crater. Each plaque had been ordered by a relative who wanted someone remembered. Not necessarily someone who had died in the war, but people who had fought for those years and ...
